Method 1: Navigating Tabs in Excel using Shortcut Keys

Step 1 – Open the the Workbook

  • Open the workbook in which you want to navigate.
  • The workbook must have multiple tabs.

Step 2 – Press Ctrl + PageUp key

  • Switch to the previous tab by pressing Ctrl + Up keys.

Step 3 – Press Ctrl + PageDown keys

  • Switch to the next tab by pressing Ctrl + PageDown keys.

Method 2 – Switching between multiple tabs using the Go To command

Step 1 – Go to the Home Tab

  • Go to the Home Tab in the menu bar.

Step 2 – Click on the Find & Select button 

  • Click on the Find & Select button in the Editing section.
  • A drop-down menu will appear.

Step 3 – Click on the Go to option

  • Click on the Go to option in the drop-down menu.

Step 4 – Enter the Destination Cell Address

  • Enter the address of the destination cell in the Reference

                                           i.e. Sheet7!A1

  • Where Sheet7 is the name of the sheet containing the destination cell.
  • A1 is the address of the cell.

Step 5 – Click on OK 

  • Click on OK in the Go to dialog box.
  • The tab will be switched.
