How to select two cells in Excel

Excel is a popular spreadsheet application in which the workspace is arranged in rows and columns. Each intersection of a row and column is a cell. You may need to select two cells to format them or to move them to another location. The cells could be contiguous or could be in different locations.
Option 1 – Use the mouse
Step 1 – Select the cells

- Click on the first cell
- Hold down the mouse key and drag to select the second cell
