How to repeat row header in Excel

You can watch a video tutorial here.

When printing an Excel sheet with rows that spill over to multiple pages, it is better to repeat the header row that contains column names (if there is one) on subsequent pages. This makes the data easier to read and the reader of the print-out does not have to keep referring back to the first page.

Step 1 – Open the Page Setup window

– Go to Page Layout > Page Setup
– Click on the arrow to expand

Step 2 – Edit the Rows to repeat at top option

– Go to the Sheet tab
– Select the Rows to repeat at top option

Step 3 – Select the row

– Select the row
– The range of the row will be displayed in the Rows to repeat at top box
– Select Print Preview

Step 4 – Check the worksheet

– In the preview of the page, check that the header row is repeated on all pages
