Method 1 : Use the Repeat Command
Step 1 – Enable the Quick Access Toolbar
- To enable the Quick Access Toolbar, click on the List arrow Ribbon Display Options, the arrow on the right side of the Home Tab Ribbon.A drop-down menu will appear.
- Click on the Show Quick Access Toolbar option in that drop-down menu.
Step 2 – Add the Repeat Command
- Add the Repeat Command in the Quick Access Toolbar by clicking on the List arrow Customize Quick Access Toolbar.
- Click on the More Commands option in the drop-down menu.Excel Options dialog box will open.
- Click on Quick Access Toolbar in the menu on the left of the dialog box.
- Scroll down and select the Repeat command,click on the Add button.
Step 3 – Click on OK
- Click on OK in the Excel Options dialog box.
- The Repeat command option will appear in the Quick Access Toolbar.
Step 4 – Perform the Action which you want to Repeat
- Perform the Action which you want to repeat, here we will insert a row.
Step 5 – Click on the Repeat Command
- Click on the Repeat Command in the Quick Access Toolbar.
- The action will be repeated.
Method 2 : Use Ctrl + Y shortcut keys
Step 1 – Perform the Action which you want to Repeat
- Perform the Action which you want to repeat, we will insert a column.
Step 2 – Press Ctrl + Y shortcut keys
- Press the Ctrl + Y keys.The action will be repeated instantly.
