How to remove hyperlinks in excel

We can use hyperlinks in Excel to create a reference to any website, any other location or file as well. Excel automatically converts URLs into hyperlinks. We can then use those hyperlinks to open the websites in a browser by clicking in the cells. However, it isn’t always ideal to have links in spreadsheets. Hyperlinks also cause data validation errors while copying the data from one sheet to another. So, we need to remove hyperlinks.

In this tutorial we will learn how to remove hyperlinks. There is a simple method given below;

Microsoft Excel is a software program that allows users to organize, format and calculate data with formulas using a spreadsheet system.

Step 1 – Right click the cell with hyperlink and remove it

– Select the cell with the hyperlink.
– Right click on it.
– A menu will appear, in the last there is an option, remove hyperlink. Click on it.
– Hyperlink will be removed, now it is plain text.
