How to delete highlighted cells in Excel

Using conditional formatting, it is possible to highlight cells based on their value. You can also choose to highlight cells by changing the background color of the cell. In a list of values, you may want to highlight some values and then delete the cells that you have highlighted.
Step 1 – Turn on the in-column filters
– Go to Data > Sort & Filter
– Click the Filter button
Step 2 – Choose the filter
– Expand the in-column filter drop-down menu
– Choose Filter by Cell Color
– Choose the color of the highlighted cells
Step 3 – Select the rows
– Select the filtered rows
Step 4 – Delete the rows
– Right-click and select Delete Row from the context menu
Step 5 – Check the result
– Go to Data > Sort & Filter
– Click the Filter button to remove the in-column filters
– The highlighted cells have been deleted
