Counting is one of the most essential commands in Excel. This article will focus on counting the number of times a value will appear in a spreadsheet.
Step 1 – Click on an empty cell
In this example Cell E4 is used.
Step 2 – Use the COUNTIF function
The COUNTIF function has 2 inputs which is the array, and the criteria. The chosen array, or the selected data here is A1 to A9. While the criteria is Japan.
Step 3 – Press Enter
Pressing Enter will return the output of the formula.
