There are times when having negative numbers are unnecessary and the negative sign should be taken out. By using the ABSOLUTE command, negative numbers will be turned into positive.
Step 1 – Click on an empty cell

Clicking on an empty cell, gives you the option to create a formula to turn the negative number into positive.
Step 2 – In the formula bar, type in “=ABS(cell)”. The cell symbolizes the number that needs to be converted into positive. Then press Enter

In this example, A1 is the number being designated as the cell to be converted.
