How to clear formatting in Excel

Formatting is a very essential tool of Excel that can make your sheet standout and highlight the important data from other data. However, an excessively formatted sheet can overwhelm the audience. Therefore, we need to clear all formatting in the sheet depending upon our requirement.
Step 1 – Select all formatted cells
– Let’s assume that we have the data set shown in the figure below. We’ll select all the formatted cells manually.
– Now on the HOME tab go to the Editing group and click on the Clear button as shown above.
Step 2 – Clear formatting from all select cells
– Now from the newly appearing drop down menu please select Clear Formats. This will clear all the formatting from the cells as shown above.
