How to change the cell color in Excel

Excel provides a variety of formats for cells in Excel. One such option is to change the color of the cell. You may want to make a table look more attractive or highlight a piece of information on the sheet.
Option 1 – Use the fill option on the ribbon

– Select the cell or cells to be colored
– Go to Home > Font
– Expand the fill menu
– Select one of the colors displayed or use the More Colors option to explore other choices
Option 2 – Use the format option
Step 1 – Select the range

- Select the cell or cells to be colored
- Right-click to access the context menu and select Format Cells or go to Home > Cells > Format
Step 2 – Select the color

- In the Format Cells window, go to the Fill tab
- Select one of the colors displayed or use the More Colors option to explore other choices
- Click OK
