How do you remove only the conditional formatting in Excel

You can watch a video tutorial here.

Conditional formatting is a very useful tool that Excel provides to format cells based on their value.  Conditional formatting can be done in addition to other formatting applied to the cell such as data type and font. It is set as a rule and can be easily cleared without disturbing the other formatting.

Step 1 – Clear the formatting rule

– Select the cells for which the conditional formatting is to be cleared
– Go to Home > Styles > Conditional Formatting > Clear Rules
– Select the option to Clear Rules from Selected Cells

Step 2 – Check the result

– Only the conditional formatting is removed and the formatting for the currency remains intact
