How To Add The Undo Button In Microsoft Excel

The Undo feature in Excel is a tool that allows users to reverse their previous actions. It is an essential feature that helps users correct mistakes and undo changes they made unintentionally. The Undo button is located on the Quick Access Toolbar in Excel and can be accessed by clicking on the icon or by using the keyboard shortcut Ctrl + Z.

In this tutorial, we will learn how to add the undo button in Microsoft Excel. There are two methods to incorporate the undo button in Microsoft Excel. The undo function is readily available in the “Quick Access Toolbar”; however, if it is not visible, it can be added by accessing the “Options” located in the File tab. Alternatively, the “Customize Quick Access Toolbar” shortcut button in the ribbon can be utilized to add the undo button.

Method 1: Adding the Undo Buttons using “Options” in the File Tab

Step 1 – Go to the File Tab

Go to the File tab in the menu bar.

Step 2 – Click on the Options Button

Click on the Options button in the bottom left of the File tab.

Step 3 – Click on “Quick Access Toolbar”

Click on “Quick Access Toolbar” in the menu at the left of the dialog box.

Step 4 – Locate and Add the Undo Button

Locate and Add the Undo button in the “Choose commands from” list.
The commands are listed in alphabetic order.
To add the Undo button, select the Undo option in the list and click on the Add button.
