How to type degree symbol in Excel

On a standard keyboard, there is no key for entering the degree symbol, but Excel has a keyboard shortcut that can be used. When you are typing numbers such as temperatures and need to type the degree symbol as well, you can use this keyboard shortcut.
Step 1 – Type the number
– Type the number
Step 2 – Type the degree symbol
– Type ALT+0176 (hold down the ALT key and type the numbers)
– Press Enter
– The degree symbol is inserted at the location of the cursor
