How to copy and paste in Google Sheets

Copy and paste is an operation that you will perform frequently when working with Google Sheets. You may want to copy some data from one sheet to another. There are 3 ways in which this can be done:
- Keyboard shortcuts
- Context menu
- Edit menu
Option 1 – Use the keyboard shortcuts
Step 1 – Copy the data
- Select the data
- Press Ctrl+C
Step 2 – Paste the data
- Go to the sheet where the data is to be pasted
- Press Ctrl+V
Option 2 – Use the context menu
Step 1 – Copy the data
- Select the data
- Right-click and select Copy from the context menu
Step 2 – Paste the data
- Go to the sheet where the data is to be pasted
- Right-click and select Paste from the context menu
Step 3 – Check the result
- The data is pasted at the new location
Option 3 – Use the Edit menu
Step 1 – Copy the data
- Select the data
- Go to the Edit menu and select Copy
Step 2 – Paste the data
- Go to the sheet where the data is to be pasted
- Go to the Edit menu and select Paste
Step 3 – Check the result
- The data is pasted at the new location
