How to insert X bar symbol in Excel

Step 1 – Select Blank Cell
- Select blank cell & type letter X in it.
Step 2 – Change Font
- Go to Home Tab, in the Font group, change Font type to Arial.
Step 3 – Go To Insert Tab
- Go to Insert Tab, under the symbols group, click the Symbols button.
Step 4 – Symbol Dialog Box
- Symbol Dialog Box will appear on your screen.
- Click on the Symbols Tab.
- Set Font as Arial.
- Select Subset as Combining Diacritical Marks
- Click on the Combining Overline.
- Click Insert & close buttons.

Step 3 – Go To Equation Tab
- While selecting the Equation text box, go to the structures group & click on the Accent button & select the Bar option.
Step 4 – Edit Equation Text Box & Insert The Symbol
- Accent Bar will be inserted in the text box.
- You will see a grey colour box inside the equation text box. Type letter X in it.
- Change font type or resize it.
- X bar Symbol inserted in the excel sheet.
